This happened to me and is still happening to me since Saturday when the "Check this video out" thing happened. Someone got a hold of my account and posted "Check out this video" from my account. I reset my password and since I have not received one update! I have had a ticket open for 4 days with no results. Frustrating is not the word. Do I just create a new account or what. No offense to Twitter customer support, but very unimpressed up to this point.
What happened to my twitter page?
My picture profile is not showing, my twitter friends picture is not showing and my background is not showing. I noticed this when I followed an article about google.
When I log in, there are NO tweets showing on my home page. I can click on @litlesbian to see if anyone had addressed me directly, but I can't see tweets from any of the people I follow. Please fix!!
Update: This has been happening since Saturday.
This is happening to me now.... I can't send any new updates, but I can get other peoples replies. Was fine until around 9.30pm. Please fix! :)

i opened up my account in october 2008, but only have just started to use it again. i can't seem to do much of anything on here - everything seems "frozen." i've had a few people want to follow me but when i allowed them, it only worked for one of them! so i went in an unlocked everything to make me "public." and i lost some people!
for direct messages, when i click on it, should those who i am allowed to send a direct message to be in the drop down box?? they AREN'T - no one is.
when i search for names, i get a flash screen that says there are "technical difficulties." this happens repeatedly - all this week. i can't do much of anything here and wonder what the attraction is frankly. i feel stymied every which way i turn - and to top it off, there doesn't seem to be much direct support.

This happened to me as well after the best video issue. I can see tweets from users who I've followed after that time though, and I can post and see replies.
BTW, I reported this Monday.

Support told me to comment here, though my issue is slightly different. Since my account was resurrected, I only see updates from people I've explicitly unfollowed and refollowed. Updates from other people I'm supposedly "following" do not appear in my timeline.
Support told me once they "cleared my cache" (not my browser cache, but something on the Twitter side) and that did fix the problem for a short period of time. Immediately after they did that, I'd see all the updates I'd expect. However, within minutes I was back to only seeing updates from the explicitly unfollowed/refollowed.
Also, the people whose tweets I can't see can't DM me. If they try, they get the "are you sure this guy's following you?" message (even though I AM following them).
Clearly, something got hosed when my account was undeleted.
I was away from Internet access for four days. I noticed the problem when I returned to Twitter on Wednesday June 3. Nerdiness above writes:

That is happening to me as well.
I stopped being able to see updates about 3 days ago. I also noticed during that time that I was having problems logging in and had to re-enter my username and password several times. I didn't think anything of it until I realized I wasn't receiving updates once I was logged in. I suspected that my account had been phished so I changed my password and it has not solved the problem. I also just noticed that I was being followed by some users with illegible usernames, which I again suspect has something to do with phishing. I am still waiting for my updates!
I cannot tweet! Says Ive tweeted too much in an hour, didn't think I had, but have waited over an hour & still says same thing. Counted tweets over last 24 hrs & its about 200..Im aloud 1000 i think?? can still send & recieve DMs. This started at about 12am GMT HELP PLEASE :0)
I deleted my account because it was frozen, and after bringing it back it is still frozen.
Same here. Issue started on 30th May. I briefly saw an "Account Suspended" page, and refreshed. That seems to be the last time I saw any updates. Pretty sure I didn't do anything wrong!
sending a message to Twitter does absolutely nothing! They'll send a message directing you on how to delete your account. I can post status updates but when I @reply to someone, nothing shows up on their page. Of course because of that I can't ask people to follow me...this happened all of a sudden.
same thing happened to me.
What fixed it was going down the list of folks I'm following, remove and reinstate the follow status. What a PITA!

My timeline froze in the mist of replying to several twitters. Says I have reached my hourly limit?? Since when?? Is this something new?? I can only send DM's at this time.
My account froze about a month ago. I can tweet but can't read others peoples (who I'm following) tweets and updates.
We are currently having problems posting tweets. We have sent several updates but none are showing. Please can you look into this.
